SUMMARY:Hope Center Volunteer Opportunity
DESCRIPTION:On January 24\, our Cub Scouts are stepping up to serve the Waukesha community with a full breakfast at the Hope Center. This is one of the simplest ways we teach service\, teamwork\, and giving back. It also makes a real difference for people who could use a warm meal and a friendly face. \n\n\n\nHere’s the plan: \n\n\n\nWhen:• Start cooking at 8:00 am• Breakfast served at 9:00 am• Clean-up starts at 9:30 am• Everything wrapped up by 11:00 am \n\n\n\nShifts:• Shift 1: Cooking & prep\, 8:00–9:30• Shift 2: Clean-up & breakdown\, 9:30–11:00• Or stay the whole time. It goes fast and it’s a great experience for the kids. \n\n\n\nWhy it matters:Service projects like this shape our scouts far more than another worksheet or handbook requirement. They see the immediate impact of their work. They learn empathy and responsibility. DESCRIPTION:April celebrates Earth Day\, and at our monthly Pack Meeting April 14th from 6:30 – 8:00 PM\, Pack 63 Scouts will take on an exciting Upcycle Challenge where Scouts will team up to design and build structures that represent Scouting using mostly recycled materials from home. \n\n\n\nWhat Scouts Should Bring\n\n\n\nEach Scout is encouraged to bring clean recycled items such as: \n\n\n\n\nPlastic bottles & caps\n\n\n\nCardboard boxes\n\n\n\nPaper towel or wrapping paper tubes\n\n\n\nEgg cartons\n\n\n\nNewspapers\, magazines\, scrap paper\n\n\n\nSmall plastic containers\, lids\, or other interesting recyclables\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll provide markers\, tape\, glue\, scissors\, but the real stars are the recycled materials! \n\n\n\nThe Challenge\n\n\n\nScout groups will have one hour to work together to build a project using recycled materials. \n\n\n\nProjects will be judged for awards like:🏆 Most Scout-Like♻️ Most Thrifty🤝 Best Teamwork \n\n\n\n⏰ Arrive Early!\n\n\n\nScouts are encouraged to arrive a little early so we can get everyone organized and start building on time. \n\n\n\nWe can’t wait to see the exciting creations Pack 63 comes up with!
